1st-exp-game-095.jpg Well the new season is already here. This year we upgraded our tickets to a full season and moved down a little closer to the edge. Wow, there are a lot of home games! Last year we had trouble giving away our half season and now it seems that we have tickets for games 3 or more times a week. I don’t think we even know that many people.

Since the season opener is during the day when the kiddos are in school, we went to their first season exposition game last Friday. It was fun even though it was not very well attended. This was Marin’s 1st baseball game as well. If you ever want to go see a game, please let us know. Our customers get 1st dibs, then our employees and then our family and friends and then you!

This year Carson decided to try baseball with several of his friends. They all got drafted to the Florida Seminoles and Saturday was both opening ceremonies and their first game. The team did great, they all hit well, and everyone had a blast. It is set very fair this year; there are 3 innings and each boy gets to hit each inning one time. The kids loved it and we all loved watching it.

Carson’s Grandparents from California came out to see his first game. He thought it was pretty special. He did not have to use the tee and hit the coached pitches every time he hit.

We are very proud of him and hope he has fun all year, even when the heat starts to get bad!

Several months ago Jaime took Jonas and Carson with her to get a pedicure. Jonas loved it (concerning) and Carson was afraid (that’s better). Well Jonas talked it up so much that Carson kept asking to go and get is feet washed. So here are the photos from this excursion.  I am not really sure how I should feel at this point.

Jaime and Marin Playing

Jaime has formed a strong bond with Marin; one that I still do not have. She sees my ugly grill and mostly cries. I am getting there though and I think I am making some headway. If I could form some breasts that had food in them, I might have a better chance.

Well here is a quick video of Jaime and Marin playing today in the office. They even talk to each other. Probably talking about me though.

Swimming in March… Are you kidding me?

This post is not meant to make those still freezing in other parts of the country feel bad, but the boys went swimming this past week here at home. It has been fairly warm with temps in the high 80’s this past week and the boys were anxious to get back in the water. So here are the photos of that escapade. The water was still a little chilly, but they seemed to enjoy it. They even laid out for a while to get rid of their pasty winter skin.

Who Knew?

Who knew that our boys would love snow sports the way they do. We took a trip to Utah this past week. We did a lot of work and the boys were very patient with all that we had to do. They even had to fit in a dentist trip while we there. So we promised that we could take them skiing and snowboarding during the trip.

Our last night there, I was very tired and not really wanting to live up to the promises made. But Jaime was fairly forceful that we needed to do this. I was not the happiest camper, but as I will explain below, I was proven wrong in my pessimism.

We got all the gear together and headed up the hill. We got there, rented some equipment, signed Jonas up for a snowboarding lesson and headed to the lift. I took Carson with me thinking he woould last 1 run and be done. This is where I became very surprised; this kid was built for football but took to skiing like stink takes to poop. It was amazing. I will post the video later when time permits, but needless to say, Carson has found a new love. After the 1st run down, he wanted to be all by himself. He loved racing down the hill and even once he raced right by me.

Jonas did great at snowboarding but still might have a bruise on his butt from a few hard falls. I have to admit that snowboarding is harder to learn than skiing and I am proud of him trying so hard.
